Sunlight through trees

Welcome to Ceallaigh Therapy. I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Wexford Town, Ireland. I provide a calm and non-judgemental therapeutic space inviting you to unburden your troubles, navigate challenges and gain a more hopeful perspective which can be life changing.

Issues I work with include anxiety, relationship problems, and eating disorders. I see clients when often their life feels in crisis. This can be due to circumstantial issues or long-standing early life issues that reach crisis point. Such issues may present itself through feelings of anxiety, loneliness, depression or addiction. Seeking therapy may be in response to a crisis or perhaps there is a general feeling of unease or dis-ease that needs addressing.

I support you in overcoming that which no longer serves you. I believe that problems can be used as tools for transformation and an opportunity for healing. Whether you need support with a specific issue or whether you wish to further understand and empower yourself, there is an inner knowing that something in your life is not working, something needs to change. Therapy can help facilitate this change.

I am trauma informed and have worked with those suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] and Complex-PTSD.

I have a special interest in the field of Eating Disorders. I have worked with those struggling with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Other Specified Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating both in a clinical setting and in private practise. I also work with groups and have facilitated and co-facilitated Eating Disorder recovery groups including workshops and support groups for parents and carers.

I offer a ten minute telephone consultation free of charge. This can help you get a sense of therapy and of us working together. From here we can arrange a day and time to meet on a weekly basis. Alternatively, I can signpost you to other sources of therapeutic support depending on your requirements.

About Me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Wexford. I have a warm, empathic and intuitive approach. My therapy work with clients is based on trust, integrity and transparency. I work with you at a level and pace that best supports you in instigating the changes you wish to make.

I have completed five years of psychotherapy training regulated by the UK Council for Psychotherapy [UKCP] and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP]. This included one year psychodynamic psychotherapy and counselling at WPF Therapy, London and four years post-graduate Integrative Psychotherapy at The Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education [CCPE], London. Before training as a psychotherapist I worked in publishing and later in education which encompassed coaching and mentoring young adults.

As a practising psychotherapist I have regular supervision and I keep up to date with Continuing Professional Development [CPD] training and workshops.
